Andrew’s creative and dynamic mixing style has earned him multiple awards and nominations and he is one of the most experienced natural history re-recording mixers, particularly of large-scale or theatrical-release projects. Recent work includes Disney Nature’s Dolphins and Born in China. He has mixed most genres of film and television and he brings a bespoke approach to every project.
Following an extensive grounding in radio and TV at the BBC, Andrew went on to work as a sound editor/dubbing mixer specialising in film sound post-production for Films of Bristol and Films at 59. For the last ten years, he has been freelance and we are delighted that he is available to mix at Wounded Buffalo.
Andrew is also dedicated to educating and training the next generation of sound editors/mixers giving presentations at workshops, educational institutes, film-festivals and the Institute of Broadcast Sound. In addition, Andrew is currently vice-chair of the Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS), is a member of CAS, BAFTA and RTS, and is thought to be the only re-recording mixer to have played the sousaphone at Glastonbury Festival.
