Wounded Buffalo podcast producer in dedicated voice booth studio

Podcast & Audiobook Production

Stories do not just deserve to be heard – they deserve to be experienced. At Wounded Buffalo, we bring the same artistry, technical exactitude and narrative sensitivity that underpin our Emmy- and BAFTA-winning film soundtracks to long-form spoken-word projects.

Purpose-built vocal suites

Our studios include a dedicated voice booth that is isolated, ventilated and tuned for crystal-clear dialogue capture. Sessions run on Avid Pro Tools HDX3 and flow straight into our Dolby Atmos Theatre B for immersive mix reviews when required. Producers can monitor in-person or remotely via Source-Connect, Cleanfeed or ISDN fallback.

Editors who understand narrative

A podcast episode, an author-narrated memoir or a full-cast dramatic reading – each demands a slightly different editorial grammar. Our five sound-editing suites – staffed by the team behind Planet Earth III, The Elephant Queen and Frozen Planet II – allow us to sculpt pacing, ambience and music beds without interrupting your schedule.

Quality that stands up to the scholars

Every master passes a three-stage review (technical QC, creative sign-off and loudness conformance to Audible/ACX or BBC Sounds spec). This replicable workflow, informed by peer-reviewed AES guidance on speech intelligibility, underwrites the reliability our broadcast clients expect.

Full-service delivery

  • Foley and bespoke music where atmosphere matters
  • Multi-platform loudness versions (LUFS-23, -16, -14)

Why Wounded Buffalo?

Our sound teams have collected more than forty major awards for craft excellence, the same ears will be on your project.
